When It's Rhinestone Bikinis Against Leotards, Nobody Wins

Last night wasn’t the first time that we’ve seen the mothers on Dance Moms act like total beasts in front of their children, but it may have been the most entertaining. Apparently Brooke, the oldest girl in the troupe (who’s maybe 13?) was given a costume so horrid that she couldn’t possibly wear it on stage, so at the last minute, all the moms decided to put her in a 6-year-old girl’s rhinestone bikini costume. The mother of the 6-year-old, Kathy, initially agreed to loaning out her costume, but changed her mind with no warning, and quickly developed an attitude about it that caused a screaming match in the dressing that led to one of one of the boldest declarations in dance competition history: “I can guarantee you that she will beat their asses wearing a fucking leotard.” She didn’t. The kid came in sixth place.
