The air is light and crisp, with chillier temps around the corner. Soon the radiator in my apartment will start blasting heat, and that tell-tale sign of winter prompts me to think about December of last year—when I learned the names of two Good Morning America co-anchors, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes.

Remember them? They left their respective spouses (with whom they both shared kids) after falling in love while training for a marathon together? (The states of at least one of those unions seemed to already be tenuous at best: Holmes had previously posted an alarming number of cringeworthy Facebook captions about his then-wife, Marilee Fiebig, one of which read, “Despite my best efforts, she remained married to me the past 10 years. That’s not hyperbole. I’m not being dramatic. I gave her plenty of reasons, excuses, and opportunities to walk her fine ass out the doooooooor.”) Both anchors lost their jobs at GMA after being taken off air by ABC News president Kimberly Godwin. Further gossip began to trickle out that Holmes had (allegedly) had multiple other affairs with many ABC staffers. (And that Facebook post began to look more and more bleak.)

Despite it all, Robach and Holmes couldn’t stop getting papped smacking each other’s butts.

And now they’ve taken the next logical step after officially divorcing their former spouses: They’ve “hard launched” their relationship—which we were already riveted by!—on Instagram. On Monday, Holmes posted a trio of photos of him and Robach at Saturday’s University of Arkanas football game in his hometown of Fayetteville—but he appears to have wisened up a bit when it comes to publicizing this romance, and put the comments on limited.

Robach has yet to brave the wilds of Instagram by posting a photo of their faces together, though she did share a snap of seats reserved for them at the game. While this is the first time either is formally acknowledging the other on social media since the affair went public, Robach-Holmes scholars like myself have presumed that photos each regularly shares of themselves running are lovingly photographed by the other.

Is it fun monitoring this relationship like they’re high school seniors trying to play it cool? Sure is (though I should note they are both hovering around age 50)! Do I recommend it to others? Absolutely not!
