Cool Girl Anna Kendrick is now adding the title of ‘published author’ to her résumé. The Pitch Perfect 2 actress has just signed a deal to write a collection of humorous personal essays for Touchstone. Kendrick is known for her clever tweets and scene-stealing wit so a book of LOLs sounds like a pretty good move.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the world’s unofficial advisor of nude selfies will narrate the journey from her early life in Maine to snagging roles in Twilight, Into the Woods and the Pitch Perfect series.
In a statement from Touchstone, Kendrick said:
“I’m excited to publish my first book, and because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I’d like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness, and the frequency with which I embarrass myself. And while many of my female inspirations who have become authors are incredibly well-educated and accomplished comedy writers, I’m very, very funny on Twitter, according to BuzzFeed and my mom, so I feel like this is a great idea. Quick question: are run-on sentences still frowned upon? Wait, is ending a sentence with a preposition still frowned upon? I mean, upon frowned? Dammit!”
The yet-to-be-titled book is scheduled to be released in Fall 2016.
