The Truth Behind Lindsay Lohan's 11-Hour Tardiness

Latest

On last night’s Double Exposure, Lindsay arrived at the photo shoot for her leggings campaign at the 11th hour—literally. She gave no excuse for missing her call time by half-a-day, but we’ve discovered the real reason: romantic drama.

Last week, Lindsay posted on her Twitter account that she was set up by Bravo to make her look bad, claiming she was given the wrong call time for the shoot. But according to a tip from a fashion industry insider, the disaster shoot was filmed—for photographers Markus Klinko and Indrani’s new reality show—on September 11, 2009, during NYC’s fashion week, which a Tweet from her leggings line 6126 confirms.

Interestingly, that was the day after a huge public fight she’d had with then-girlfriend Samantha Ronson, in which she reportedly threw a room service tray at the door to what she thought was Sam’s room at the Bowery Hotel (but turned out to the door of another guest), causing Lindsay to later be removed from the posh establishment. While Lindsay denied that she was kicked out of the Bowery (what else is new?), she did basically live-Tweet her row with Sam on September 10:

@samantharonson can you make an attempt to not ruin ANYTHI
zG positive that i have FINALLY deserved just to cry myself to sleep with your cheats, errors, and thank you…
@samantharonson BUT YOU DID perform to her..you JUST told me that your friends are worth more than i am 2 your family & that i’m gross*thx

After that rough fashion week — including being late to the photo shoot, punching a paparazzo, and fighting with Sam — she Tweeted this:

Hahahaha my publicist just called me & said she heard I was in a psych ward!!!! Hahaha WHAT IS WRONG with people???? I’m working lol

On his blog, photographer Markus Klinko talked about Lindsay’s accusations on Twitter that she was made to look bad. Still, he put a positive spin on his experience with her:

[F]or some odd reason [Lindsay] decided to deny the indisputable fact that she arrived nearly 11 hours late to our shoot for her 6126 legging line. While the whole day is documented on Episode 2 of Double Exposure, none of us really talked about the record-breaking late arrival until Lindsay’s tweets. Lindsay is a powerful and talented young woman. She is capable of great performances, and being in front of the camera is very easy for Lindsay. As I said before, if I had to choose between a celebrity that is perfectly on time and perfectly boring, I would much rather take Lindsay. So maybe rather than all this noise about how late she was, let’s focus on how amazing she was when she actually showed up.

Except, she wasn’t. As evidenced in the clip below, she was difficult, very distracted and, in a word, cokie. She didn’t want to sit still for hair and makeup, she was more interested in the stylist’s shoes and jewelry options than in the creative direction of the shoot — which was the ad campaign for her own leggings line — and wanted to rush through the shots because she said she needed to go to her “friend’s event” — at one in the morning.
