The Most Uncomfortable Interview Kathie Lee & Hoda Have Ever Had

Earlier today, Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed, his partner of over 26 years, gave quite the interview during the Today Show's fourth hour. KLG commented that it was "tense in the studio" — to which Simmons replied, "Oh, kill me now."

The interview led with a clip from the upcoming season of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, in which Shannon expresses her displeasure after finding yet another TMZ photo of Gene and a gaggle of hot young blondes. Cut to a stone-faced Shannon sitting next to Gene as he tries to explain himself to his (ex?) girlfriend, the hosts, and all of the America.

Okay, I'll admit it: I watched a few episodes of their show a couple years back, and when I saw it on instant Netflix I thought it could be good cleaning/arting background noise. I made it through like one and a half. I know a all reality shows, especially now, are incredibly planned and scripted. Back when Laguna Beach came out I didn't, but now I do, okay? I swear. But this show, oh man. It's SOOO scripted, and they're all bad actors. I just couldn't stand it. It was like those late night MTV shows that you knew were soap operas but were billed as reality somehow. This, however, seems like actual reality. I'm surprised, I didn't think they had it in 'em!
