Of course, Giuliana Rancic can’t leave E! News without there being some drama.
The latest report from Page Six is that Giuliana’s departure is the result of a longtime rivalry between her and fellow E! correspondent Maria Menounos. Is there ~bad blood~? If so, it’s the least interesting beef imaginable.
According to one “insider” with a real thing for metaphors:
“It’s the battle of the bitches. They’re like oil and water. They cannot stand each other. They’ve always been rivals. Maria sees Giuliana as competition and it goes back years. They never speak and they won’t appear on-set together. It’s kind of unspoken that if she is in the building, Giuliana wants nothing to do with her.”
Another conflicting source, however, says it’s NBD:
“Maria doesn’t have any issues with Giuliana. She sees her as a role model. Giuliana doesn’t feel the same way.”
Which source is right here?
On top of this, rumors of shakeups at the network abound, with Terrence J, Alicia Quarles and Jesse Giddings reportedly “on their way out,” setting the stage for Menounos to reign supreme with her own live show while Giuliana grills her angrily from the sidelines.
