Real Housewife Cindy Barshop Slapped With Racial Discrimination Suit

Altovise Collier, 25, a former employee of Cindy Barshop’s Completely Bare spa, filed a complaint with the State Division of Human Rights, claiming she was mistreated, verbally abused, and ultimately fired due to the color of her skin. Collier, a licensed aesthetician, applied for the job online and was interviewed by phone and says her employers didn’t know her skin color until her first day on the job. As the only black beautician at the spa, Collier claims she was paid only half the salary she was promised, was the butt of jokes regarding her skin color, and was a victim of other employees’ hazing. When Collier complained to Barshop, she was fired one week later. Barshop denies the charges and says Collier was fired “because of the quality of her work.”
