We’ve got Fenty Puma and Fenty Beauty, but now we technically have Fenty Road, because Rihanna is getting a street named after her.
Local newspaper Nation News reports that Rihanna is getting her own street named “Rihanna Drive” in her hometown of Saint Michael, Barbados. The Ministry of Tourism announced that they would officially change the street Westbury New Road, where Rihanna grew up, to Rihanna Drive on November 30 in a two-hour ceremony featuring the singer and Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
Though Rihanna left Saint Michael when she was just a teenager to eventually become pop’s best bad girl, she returns to Barbados frequently and still has a house there. And you can always count on seeing her at Crop Over, where she consistently has the best costume.
Though I must say, why the street was not named “Shut Up and Drive, Drive, Drive” is still unclear to me!
