Nasim Pedrad is leaving SNL to play the female lead on John Mulaney's unnamed autobiographical NBC comedy pilot. She'll join Mulaney, Martin Short, and Elliott Gould, to play Jane, a "sweet, intelligent and lazy grade school teacher who doesn't love her job and wants to make changes but she's addicted to procrastinating."
I guess that means no more Bedelia?
There are some other ladies to look forward to in the comedy pilot season, as well.

DISCUSSION
SNL is in New York City. There are so many awesome comedians of color and from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds in that city.. Seriously, why isn't this show more diverse?
