Lake Bell and Friends Consider the Realities of Marriage in I Do…Until I Don't Trailer

Entertainment

What’s better than a frothy ensemble comedy about the vicissitudes of marriage, set in the perpetually-sunny Los Angeles? Nothing, I tell you. Absolutely nothing.

The trailer for I Do…Until I Don’t looks like a fun exploration of the necessity of marriage and whether or not it actually should be forever, through the eyes of three couples. Per Deadline, the three couples in question find themselves tangled up with a jaded filmmaker and shit-stirrer, played by the delightfully droll Dolly Wells of Em and Doll, who’s making a documentary that will prove that marriage as we know it should operate not for eternity, but on a seven-year contract with an option to renew. Hmm. Food for thought.

Lake Bell wrote and directed this film, which comes out September 1. If it’s anything like the sheer joy that was In A World.., then I bet you’ll love this. For starters, Lake Bell. Ed Helms, doing his best horny-early-40s-but-tired-husband shtick. Paul Reiser, in a motorcycle helmet. Amber Heard and Wyatt Cenac as Gaia-loving free spirits. What’s not to love?
