Jamie Lynn Spears Is the Celebrity Monarch for Krewe of Mardi Paws

Jamie Lynn Spears, who we last saw being a hero when she broke up a fight at a Pita Pit by calmly threatening a whole group of brawling dudes with a knife, will be the celebrity monarch at this year’s Krewe of Mardi Paws parade. Ideally, this will be the first of many honors for the far superior Spears sister.

Equal parts goofy and grand, the parade features costumed royal doggies and their owners, along with child and celebrity royalty selected either for their devotion to animal or child-related charities or connections to the north shore of New Orleans. Spears, 23, is a native of Kentwood, located north of Hammond in Tangipahoa Parish.

The 2015 parade is travel themed and will raise money for various charitable organizations, including St. Tammany Spay and Neuter program and Children’s Hospital.

Jamie Lynn, you are a saint. Please bring your knife, just in case.
