The Federal Government cares more about some old, dead, scratched up rocks in the desert than it cares about Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler’s Valentine’s Day gesture.
Only yesterday, an Instagram post from Hudgens was ranked at 14 in Celebrity Valentine’s Day Content. It featured her and Butler’s names carved into one of the famous rock formations of the Coconino National Forest, where they spent the romantic weekend. Now, their crude heart scratchitti has attracted the eye of officials in Sedona, AZ, and the post has been removed from social media. TMZ had a screenshot though, and it’s also probably still permanently etched into that ancient rock.
While many would agree that a celebrity’s scrawled signature can only elevate the value of the area, those many do not include any national forest rangers. According to TMZ, Hudgens is being investigated for violating a federal law against “damaging natural surfaces or property of the United States.” The penalty could be a fine of up to 5 thousand dollars and/or 6 months in jail. At least their love is as eternal as a mountain!
