Human Barbie Claims She's Never Had Plastic Surgery, Thinks We All Don't Have Eyes

Well, this is hilarious. 21-year-old Valeriya Lukyanova, aka the leader of the growing Human Barbie army, might not be telling the truth about her plastic surgery. Or, her lack of plastic surgery, as it were. I’ll give you a minute to pick your jaw up off the ground because I know, IT IS A SHOCKER.

You see, Lukyanova claims that her doll-like face and physique are the result of genetics and a little lip gloss. She apparently claims that she’s been “endowed by nature with extraordinary external data.” Which is how I think I’m going to introduce myself all of the time now.

Lukyanova says:

Many people say bad things about people who want to perfect themselves. It’s hard work, but they dismiss it as something done by surgeons or computer artists. This is how they justify not wanting to strive for self-improvement. It’s how they explain their continued inaction. It’s just an excuse. There are plenty of video clips on the Internet showing what I really look like. Some people even spread rumors about me and retouch my pictures to hurt me. But I don’t take them seriously. I’m even flattered! It’s what success is like. I’m happy I seem unreal to them, it means I’m doing a good job.

The internet, never a good place for the delusional, is quick to call her out — claiming she’s “a fraud” and claiming “she had been badly Photoshopping her photos since the beginning of her time online.”

Der? I’m all for busting down beauty myths but, dude, isn’t it clear that she’s had a monument to the powers of plastic surgery built on top of her face? Of course, tons of makeup and photo staging play an important role in the end results, but that’s not the whole story. Did anyone ever believe that?

I’m into whatever makes you happy — uh, except for the only eating honeydew to maintain your figure, that’s probably the most dangerous message in this whole thing — but let’s not lie to ourselves and others by pretending this look is attainable via Mary Kay and Blue Steel.
