Whenever a popular entertainer experiences devastating or scandalous news in their lives, the media is obligated to find ways to tie their material into the personal matter at hand, especially when it comes to singers. Such was the case with Mary J. Blige and her divorce “drama.”
For reference, above is the music video for Blige’s wonderful, cathartic single “No More Drama,” and here’s her performance of the song at the Grammys which both elicited chills and confirmed that Mary practices calisthenics before hitting the stage. She was really feeling it.
Following the news that Blige had filed for divorce from her husband and manager Kendu Isaacs, to whom she’d been married for a little over 12 years, Us Weekly couldn’t help itself from leading their story with:

Similarly, Divorce Court tweeted “MORE DRAMA!” and alternatively led their post with a reference to another of MJB’s famous jams, “Real Love”:
Mary J. Blige is searching for a real love once again.
Others followed suit.
