French police are investigating Chris Brown after a 24-year-old woman accused him of raping her in his hotel room last week.
Per the French publication Closer, the woman said that she and Brown met on the night of January 15 at a club called Le Crystal, not far from Les Champs-Elysées. She then reportedly accompanied him to his hotel room—along with other women—at the Mandarin Oriental. At some point, though, she found herself alone with Brown, and that’s when the alleged rape took place.
The outlet reports that the Paris prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation.
In July, Brown was arrested in Florida on an outstanding warrant for felony battery. In June, a 24-year-old woman filed a restraining order against him after he allegedly “harassed and stalked” her. In May, he was sued by a woman who said she was raped in Brown’s home and held against her will. His violent track record has been more or less consistent since 2009, when he was convicted of assaulting Rihanna.
