Founders of Lulelemon Say It's Your Body's Fault If Their Pants Pill

Latest

The cult of Lululemon took a hit earlier this year when they had to recall some of their pants because they were making people look far too naked on the streets. Since then, they’ve lost money and tried to find a new CEO, and last week, Business Insider reported that customers were complaining about the special Lululemon fabric pilling. On Tuesday, co-founders and married people Chip and Shannon Wilson fought back against those complaints with their unified belief that the customer is not always right.

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Chip Wilson said, “There has always been pilling. The thing is that women will wear a seatbelt that don’t work or they’ll wear a purse that doesn’t work or, quite frankly, some women’s bodies don’t work for it.”

Oooooooooooooo.

“They don’t work for certain – some – women’s bodies,” Wilson continued. When host Trish Regan asked if he trying to explain away the sheer pants fiasco by blaming them extra large asses, Wilson swiftly denied it. “I don’t think that, because even our small sizes would fit an extra large. It’s really about the rubbing through the thighs, how much pressure is there over a period of time, and how much they use it….” Then Shannon jumped in to add, “…what’s the use, and what’s it being up against, are you sitting on the cement ground….”

Coincidentally, Lululemon just released a video devoted to how magically fantastic the new “Full-On Luan” fabric their clothing is made of is.

Chip denied that the company was saying that not all women can wear Lululemon’s clothing. “I think they can, I just think it’s how they use it.” To all the Lululemon customers out there: You use those thighs the right way, you hear? Then you’ll just be like no pills, no problem.
