During a recent red carpet interview, Cardi B, a noted lover of politics and world history, was asked by a Variety reporter who she plans on supporting in the 2020 election. Turns out Cardi B, who called on her fans to “Vote for Daddy Bernie, bitch!” the last time around, is still going with her man.

“I’ma always go with Bernie. Because this is the thing right. Bernie don’t say things to be cool,” she said on the red carpet, noting, “There’s pictures of him being an activist from a very, very, very long time.”

Cardi was not only referencing Sanders’s activism, but his age, an issue that came up during the candidate’s Fox News town hall on Monday night. When asked if he’s too old to run for president, Sanders had this to say: “Well, follow me around the campaign trail.”

During his town hall, he spent time making his case for Medicare for All:

While the crowd, as Politico noted, was stocked with Sanders supporters, rendering the audience’s reaction slightly less telling, who among us can deny the immense pleasure of seeing Fox’s Bret Baier utterly humiliated?

Where does Cardi stand on Medicare for All? It’s unclear, but she is someone who has spoken out before on issues of healthcare, speaking approvingly of the Affordable Care Act during Trump’s government shutdown:

“Now I don’t wanna hear you motherfuckers talkin’ about, ‘Oh, but Obama shut down the government for 17 days...yeah, bitch! For health care! So your grandma could check her blood pressure and you bitches could go check your pussy at the gynecologist with no motherfuckin’ problem.”

The real question is: when’re we going to see Cardi on the campaign trail with Daddy Bernie?
