Abby Lee Miller Was Allegedly Heard Begging for a Ticket at the Hello, Dolly! Stage Door

Early last Friday, Jezebel received a tip that shook us to our very core: Dance Moms’ Abby Lee Miller was reportedly begging for a ticket to Hello, Dolly! at the stage door to the Shubert Theatre in New York City on Thursday night, telling employees that she desperately needed to see the show—currently starring Bette Midler—before going to the clink.

Our tipster, a Hello, Dolly! company member, writes:

[Miller] showed up at the stage door for he Shubert Theatre last night begging for a ticket because she HAD to see Hello, Dolly! before she went to prison… I believe the phrasing was, “I have to see this before i have to go away.”

Miller was in New York late last week doing a round of paid appearances before beginning her one-year prison sentence for bankruptcy fraud. While our tipster says that Miller did not get into Hello, Dolly!, her Instagram tells us that she ended up at a bar with dancers from the New York City Ballet.

Per the judge’s orders, Miller returned to the west coast on May 20. It’s a real shame, though. I hear Bette is great.
