16 And Pregnant: When A Dick Knocks You Up

Last night’s episode featured 16-year-old Nikkole and her on-again-off-again boyfriend Josh, possibly the most disrespectful young man ever featured on the series. He’s completely insolent toward Nikkole, her friends, her mother, and behaved like an ass during her 26-hour-long labor.

Josh and Nikkole never used birth control, and, not surprisingly, she became pregnant. Josh told her that if she didn’t get an abortion, he would break up with her, which he did. He began dating another girl, but eventually Nikkole and Josh reconciled. It’s clear—as he’s messing around with the equipment in the OB/GYN’s office—that he’s completely immature and self-centered. He ended up getting expelled from school, and thus, was not allowed to attend the homecoming dance. Nikkole, although very pregnant, still wanted to go, which angered him. He made her leave the dance early, so that they could hang out, but then he changed his mind, and stood her up.

His behavior was really reprehensible during her labor. He wanted to lay down on the bed with Nikkole and watch TV, and complained when she wanted to take a nap. He ended up getting in a fight with Nikkole’s mother, and even his mother was sick of his shit. Afterward, Nikkole’s mother said that he was never allowed to step foot in her house again, and she stuck to her word.

Later, Nikkole tried to talk to him about the incident at the hospital, and Josh said that he deserved an apology.

Nikkole went out to eat with her mother and Josh to try to resolve their problems, but he only made matters worse. In the end, she found out that he was cheating on her again, and when she confronted him about it, he dumped her.
