Yoko Ono, the 82-year-old experimental artist and widow of John Lennon, just revealed some interesting things about her late husband—namely that he was bisexual, and would have liked to have had sex with men, but just never found one that was good enough for him.

Ono spoke to The Daily Beast in an exclusive interview, in which she discussed racial discrimination, her fear that Lennon’s killer might one day be released from prison, and the fact that Lennon believed that all people were bisexual, including himself.

“Well, that’s another thing. John and I had a big talk about it, saying, basically, all of us must be bisexual. And we were sort of in a situation of thinking that we’re not [bisexual] because of society. So we are hiding the other side of ourselves, which is less acceptable. But I don’t have a strong sexual desire towards another woman.”

While Ono said that she’s never had sex with another woman due to a lack of desire, she told The Daily Beast that Lennon may have avoided a relationship with another man due to fear:

“I think he had a desire to, but I think he was too inhibited,” says Ono.

“No, not inhibited. He said, ‘I don’t mind if there’s an incredibly attractive guy.’ It’s very difficult: They would have to be not just physically attractive, but mentally very advanced too. And you can’t find people like that.”

Well, you certainly can’t with that kind of attitude.

Ono doesn’t believe that Lennon ever had sex with another man, even though rumors that he’d engaged in a sexual relationship with Brian Epstein, the manager of the Beatles, ran rampant.

“The beginning of the year he was killed, he said to me, ‘I could have done it, but I can’t because I just never found somebody that was that attractive.’ Both John and I were into attractiveness—you know—beauty.”

Good question from Death and Taxes: Isn’t beauty what everyone looks for when choosing someone to date and/or sleep with?

“Both John and I were into attractiveness”

Well geez, this is a rare opinion. She should pitch for Unpopular Opinion on XOJane.
