For years, I have been starved for news—any news—related to the short-lived and somewhat under-the-radar 2009 Bravo reality show NYC Prep, which followed a group of awkward, painfully privileged uptown kids pretending to care about cleft palates for their college applications. Today, my friends, we have been given some.
According to Page Six, forgotten First Daughter Tiffany Trump was spotted at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas wearing “a tiny tight black dress and towering heels to sprinkle rose petals at the nuptials of her friends” as her “dumbfounded Secret Service detail looked on.” Said friends are socialite Esme Brown and Peter Cary “PC” Peterson, the grandson of Nixon’s commerce secretary and former glowering Chuck Bass-esque star of NYC Prep. On NYC Prep, PC was known for flaunting his wealth, showing up at parties with uninvited guests, and declaring at age 18 that he was over the New York City dating scene.
PC and Esme announced that they were marrying each other despite having never been “romantically involved”; both said they will continue to date other people while redefining “what we believe marriage should be.” He wrote on Instagram: “We did this because we wanted to finalize our commitment to each other as life partners and best friends. Life is short, and I just want to be happy.”
Sure, that’s nice! Now, just circling back to Tiffany’s “dumbfounded Secret Service detail”—that is a relationship I’d love to hear more about.
