Women's Surfing Championship Conquers Oahu's Pipeline

Latest

Yesterday marked the first time — ever — that the Triple Crown surfing championship staged a women’s event at the famous Pipeline, on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Stephanie Gilmore of Australia won the Vans Duel for the Jewel contest, earning $10,000 and bragging rights. She’s seen on the left in the image below, receiving a plaque, alongside (l-r) to Tyler Wright, Coco Ho and Alana Blanchard.

Congrats to all! Those waves are terrifying.
