A New York woman is suing Chanel after trying on a $10,000 ring at the 57th St. boutique — a ring which she was unable to get off her finger. Three hours in the emergency room eventually resulted in a successful removal that left digit and bauble intact. [Racked]

But apparently the thing with Sir Philip is, just to keep saying no to him is what he likes best. Calling him a “professional crossdresser” who commits the outrage of causing male onlookers to momentarily take him for a woman, FHM says Pejic “most likely fooled his modeling agency as well.” It gets worse. “Designers are hailing him as the next big thing. We think ‘thing’ is quite accurate.” Pejic, a man who says he has no desire to change his sex, once joked that he might do so if a Victoria’s Secret contract were at stake.   • Due to overwhelming demand, the Met is now charging $50 for certain tickets to the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” exhibit. If you want to go to the show during regular opening hours, where it is generally mobbed — more than 150,000 people have seen it since it opened on May 4 — then there is no charge above the Met’s usual entry by donation.
