Woman Shot and Killed After Rebuffing Man's Advances at a Bar
LatestEarly Friday morning in the Homewood neighborhood of Pittsburgh, 29-year-old Janese Jackson-Talton was at Cliff’s Bar when a 41-year-old man named Charles McKinney, according to KDKA, tried to approach her for a date. She refused. After the bar closed, McKinney followed her outside and shot her in the chest.
McKinney drove away but was soon pulled over in a traffic stop. When the officers received a radio call about Jackson-Talton’s shooting in the area, McKinney sped off. Police gave chase and fired two shots at McKinney’s car in an intersection before he hit a parked car and was taken to a nearby hospital.
