A woman has accused two crew members of raping her backstage after a Weekend show in Columbus, Ohio last week.
According to TMZ’s police sources, the woman claims she was raped at the Schottenstein Center tour stop on September 19. The alleged victim filed a police report the following morning (Wednesday) at the Ohio State University station. The report states that alcohol was involved.
The two suspects are reportedly “temporary” crew members. TMZ states that the Weeknd left the venue before the alleged sexual assault:
Sources with knowledge of the situation tell us the woman was in a backstage area with two crew members. Our sources say it’s possible one of the suspects filmed the attack.
We’re told employees hired for the tour can vary from city to city ... the two suspects are not a part of The Weeknd’s inner circle.
In response to the allegation, the Weekend’s management reps stated: “Upon learning of the accusations that two members of our tour staff are facing, we immediately terminated their employment. We are working with the authorities to ensure they have access to any information or assistance they may need.”
