Peplum and Velour: The Kardashian Kids Line for Toddlers

When the Kardashian Kids clothing line launkhed (I guess replacing a ‘c’ with a ‘k’ doesn’t always work) at Babies R Us in March, we saw a lot of leopard print and leatherette. But alas, the clothes were geared for kiddos younger than two years, leaving many a sad unfashionable toddler wondering why they must suffer in absolutely dreadful unleatherette clothing. Well, toddlers, your prayers have been answered.

Kardashian Kids is expanding their sizes to 5T, and things are only getting more faux fur and fabulous (forgive me). Kourtney Kardashian tells People:

“Penelope continues to be our inspiration for the line as she’s grown into toddlerhood. We have so much fun watching her begin to form opinions about what she wants to wear,” says Kourtney.
“I love to see the girls playfully mix the prints and pair with our comfy leggings. For the colder months, they can top off the look with the wool coat,” adds Kourtney.
New mom Kim already has her eye on her favorite for daughter North. “I love the black and white pieces for fall, especially the long-sleeve bodysuit with sequin and trim detail,” she says.

Cool. So we’re still talking about kids, right? Like, the tiny-ass humans? Okay, got it. I guess referring to a baby onesie as a long-sleeve bodysuit just threw me off. I don’t know much about kiddie couture, but I do know that I bought my nephew a pair of pizza print high tops, and that he’s the baddest baby around. So take that, all-girl Kardashian line!

Also, I don’t think I’ve ever heard the term panel-leggings in any context outside something Kardashian related. They are inextricably linked in my brain. They should refer to bibs as halter-top crop body panels.
