VH1 has announced that RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars will be returning for a third season—the first on the network—and you know Valentina is going to wear her Miss Congeniality/Fan Favorite sash for her introduction!
“The world is calling out to see more of these beautiful queens and I am going to give them every bit of it they can handle,” said RuPaul in an interview with Variety. “All Stars represent the best of the breasts, legs, and thighs. They are giving everything and you’re not going to want to miss it!”
Variety also reported that RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, the behind-the-scenes companion show, will also be back.
Executive Producer Randy Barbato says that priority for who gets chosen to come back isn’t the size of the queen’s social media following, but their sheer charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

“It’s either talent that we think wasn’t fully recognized during their previous season, talent that we think have demonstrated improvement—there’s a variety of things we look at when we’re putting together the cast.”
Theoretically, queens will be chosen from more recent seasons (the last season of All Stars took place immediately after Season 7 of regular Drag Race), but some rumors suggest a healthy mix from every season—including Milk (???), and the HIGHLY deserving Aja, Chi Chi DeVayne, Thorgy Thor, and Kennedy Davenport.
All Stars will air in early 2018, followed by Drag Race’s 10th season, which will air that spring. A pre-congrats to the chosen queens, and remember, no cliques.
