Watch Tim Pawlenty Awkwardly Discuss His Favorite Gaga Songs

Today in desperate pleas for relevance: Flailing presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty goes out of his way to talk about how much he loves Lady Gaga.

First he asked them their favorite songs, and then took the opportunity to impress them with his knowledge. “Well you know, in terms of the beat, I like ‘Bad Romance,'” Pawlenty told three young women with microphones. “I gotta say, even though she’s a little unusual, ‘Born this Way’ has some appeal. She’s actually very talented. Now if you go to the end of the HBO special, the Lady Gaga HBO special, and you watch her sing a cappella “Born This Way,” she can sing. She can definitely sing. She’s talented.”

He also likes Bruce Springsteen and is aware that both of those performers despise his politics.
