Watch This 8-Year-Old Sing Nancy Sinatra Better Than Nancy Sinatra

You may remember Angelina Jordan from her previous outings on Norway’s Got Talent. She’s performed “Gloomy Sunday” (not better than Billie Holiday; no one’s better than Billie Holiday)), she’s nailed “Fly Me to the Moon,” and now she’s back to tug at your heartstrings with her version of Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down).” Check out her phrasing. It is flawless.

When you watch the video, it’s difficult to reconcile that there’s an 8-year-old out there who can sing so well and with such pathos, and if you close your eyes while she’s doing her thing it’s hard to imagine that this is a third grader! If you put her version of the song into Kill Bill, I bet no one would complain (except maybe parent groups?).

How does she do it? Can you imagine how much more amazing she’ll be with more experience? Are she and Julia Lipnitskaya both sorceress queens? All I can tell you is that if I had her talent, I’d already be working the vegas circuit (opening for Britney!), so let’s hope she has better stage parents than I do.
