Watch Nicki Minaj Try to Teach Models the Anaconda Dance Moves

I believe we all have lanes in which we should do our best to stay within. It’s not that we shouldn’t try new things — but we all can’t be good at everything, so it’s good to know one’s strengths and act accordingly. This is exactly why you don’t see me in karaoke bars—I know my lanes.

This life motto came to mind upon the viewing of a series of Vines posted by Vogue of Nicki Minaj teaching four models the dance routine from the Anaconda music video. While these ladies may be very good at staying slim, smizing and hitting the broken-down baby doll pose, shaking their asses to a song about giant asses may not be the lane for them.

Nicki Minaj is either an incredibly good sport, got paid to do this, or is vying for a Vogue cover.

I will say this: the poor things tried.

Let’s give a special shoutout to the young lady in the front who was forced to wear a pair of shoes that look to be half her bodyweight and could barely get her foot off the ground. She worked hard for the Vine.

The Anaconda video really is the gift that keeps on giving. I guess the irony of Nicki repeatedly rapping “fuck the skinny bitches in the club” on the track was completely lost on Vogue‘s social media editor. That, or Nicki is trying to make amends with all the skinny bitches in the shadiest way possible.
