Urban Outfitters' Not-So-Great 'Depression' Shirt Pulled From Stores

Latest

After public outcry, Urban Outfitters has stopped selling an inscrutable t-shirt that reads, simply, DEPRESSION, in big block letters, over and over again. Can’t wait to see what those nose-tweaking corporate scamps do next!

The shirt, which detractors accused of minimizing serious mental illness (because that’s sort of what it does) was pulled by the retailer, forcing edgy teens to settle for writing “I’m Pro-Cancer” with sharpies on Hanes tees until Urban figures out another way to market something that will be widely read as offensive, petitioned against, and removed. It’s the circle of life.

Anyway, here are some suggestions for more dumb shit for Urban to put on shirts :

  • Girls Suck At Math And Dicks
  • AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS
  • Ugh but I hate reading tho
  • Punch Here (arrow up)
  • Bush/Cheney ’04
