UK Bans Facesitting, Fisting & Female Ejaculation from Streaming Porn

Latest

If you’re looking for some good-old fashioned British-made kinky-ass BDSM porn, it looks like you’ll soon be shit out of luck. For some reason the UK has just banned a handful of sex acts from porn videos made in the UK, most of which are BDSM related.

In the Audiovisual Media Services Regulations 2014, an amendment of the 2003 Communications Act, all Video on Demand (VoD) must conform to a new set of standards and must not contain any “specially restricted” (or R18) material unless they make damn sure absolutely no one under 18 can see “or hear it” or contain any material that might “impair the physical, mental or moral development of persons under the age of 18.” Please. Think of the children.

As Frankie Mullin at Vice puts it: “That means that British pornography producers will no longer be able to offer content online that couldn’t be bought in a sex shop.” Um, why even watch porn on the internet then?

Specially restricted material includes (via Independent):

Spanking
Caning
Aggressive whipping
Penetration by any object “associated with violence”
Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if consensual)
Urolangia (known as “water sports”)
Female ejaculation
Stragulation
Facesitting
Fisting

The last three are apparently classified as “life-endangering.” Facesitting. Life-endangering. Nah, probably not.

While the regulations can’t stop British people from watching porn with all of these seemingly arbitrarily chosen acts, it certainly puts a damper on British fetish porn producers and it also seems to completely ignore the concept of consent, which seems to be the foundation of BDSM. While these new regulations deem themselves a PRESERVE THE INNOCENCE crusade, it’s clear the campaign is just more generic brand censorship aimed at taking down the niche sex industry.
