Tina Fey Won't Cry Because She's A Stone-Cold Bitch

Latest

“I’m not going to get emotional tonight,” said Tina Fey, accepting the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, “because I’m a stone-cold bitch.” She also regretted that she hadn’t received the Judy Blume Award For Awkward Puberty.

On the show, telecast on PBS last night, Fey also joked that she could have gotten the Nathaniel Hawthorne Prize for Judgmental Nature, or the Harper Lee Prize for Small Bodies Of Work.

On a slightly more serious note, Fey said she hoped that after being the first, second, and third woman to do things, “women are achieving at a rate these days that we can stop counting what number they are at things.” That said, “Only in comedy is an obedient white girl from the suburbs a diversity candidate.”

And then she thanked Sarah Palin. Mostly for being a whackjob.

Here are some more excerpts from her acceptance speech.
