I don't really understand why anyone would find this validating or joy-inducing. It's not as if these notes are addressed to you personally. The person who posts this note on a bathroom mirror doesn't know if I am beautiful (whether that's inner or outer beauty), so it's kind of meaningless. If the note was addressed to me personally (as some of the commenters have described) - well, that would be different. Uplifting.
Obviously this is not to impugn thee motives of the people posting these notes around. I just don't see how they work.
