Stella McCartney, When You Long for Something Hideous and Shapeless to Wear

Latest

While you were sleeping, Paris Fashion Week was sashaying along, and Brit designer Stella McCartney presented her fall/winter 2013 collection earlier today. Reuters describes the clothes as having a “structured, masculine feel in line with McCartney’s tomboy sensibility.” I’d call them ugly, droopy, cavernous and bleak. Oversized Talking Heads coats, fucked up hobble skirt-ish dresses, pin-striped swaths of fabric masquerading as strapless dresses. Hated it! But Reuters reports that Stella’s dad thought it was great:

The show was delayed for 30 minutes by the tardy arrival of Paul McCartney, the designer’s father.
“Walk, walk, walk like a model,” the former Beatle was overheard saying to his wife Nancy Shevell as they walked down the runway to take their seat.
After the show, he called his daughter “the best”.
“I thought it was beautiful. Very strong, very clean,” he told Reuters TV.

Judge for yourself…
