The magazine famous for its swimsuit issue will put a fully clothed woman on their cover this week: Sochi Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin. Three cheers for Shiffrin and a polite golf clap for SI.

Shiffrin, 18, is the youngest winner of a slalom event, a remarkable feat for Team USA’s newest prodigy. She is the first U.S. women’s slalom medalist since 1972.

FYI, slalom is "a ski race down a winding course marked by flags or poles," if you’re like me and had no idea what Olympic event we're talking about.

This isn’t Shiffrin’s first SI cover, writes Sports Illustrated; she was included in the publication’s Olympic Preview issue.
