Truly a great week for fans of soothing streaming TV options. Not only will Julie Andrews be doing a show about the performing arts with puppets, but Netflix has also added Beauty is Everywhere, one of the shows by beloved, gentle-voiced, slightly nap-inducing painting teacher Bob Ross.
That’s according to Entertainment Weekly:
Ross, who died in 1995 at age 52, is best known for The Joy of Painting, a PBS series he hosted from 1983 to 1994. On the show, Ross taught viewers how to paint nature-filled landscapes. Beauty is Everywhere, filmed in 1991, follows the same format, and also includes appearances from Ross’ pet squirrel. “She is the cutest little devil you’ve ever seen,” he says in the clip.
Please float gently into the weekend with the trailer.
