First Aid Kit, the folk duo composed of Johanna and Klara Söderberg, performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night and—oh my Lorde—can these two play a beautiful tune.
The Swedish sisters, who rose to fame as young teens after posting a video of their cover of Fleet Foxes’ “Tiger Mountain Peasant Song” in 2008, performed songs off their latest album, Ruins, as a part of Kimmel’s outdoor concert series. My personal fave is their performance of “Fireworks,” but you may prefer “You Are the Problem Here”—an opinion that is wrong, but that I will ultimately respect.
Along with their beautiful harmonies, the pair demonstrated wicked style and for this fawning press, I—lacking in integrity—expect them to give me that gold jacket (and the mauve dress, if they’re feeling generous). They can send it to my home address, 420 69th St., Hell.
