Actress Selma Blair (The People v. O.J. Simpson, Legally Blonde) was hurried from an international flight to a nearby hospital after an outburst.
People reports that Blair was returning from Cancun, Mexico with her four-year-old son, Arthur Saint, when she began crying and referring to physical abuse at the hands of an unnamed male.
“He burns my private parts. He won’t let me eat or drink,” she said, according to witnesses. “He beats me. He’s going to kill me.”
A source tells People that Blair, 43, had consumed a mixture of alcohol and prescription medications, though the prescriptions themselves are not known.
Two nurses on the same flight watched over Blair for the remainder of the flight, searching her bag for pills. She was removed by a stretcher as soon as the plane arrived in Los Angeles and taken to a local hospital.
Four days ago Blair posted a photo to Instagram indicating that she, her son, and her ex Jason Bleick, Arthur’s father, were traveling to Cancun to celebrate Father’s Day.
Bleick also posted a photo marking the conclusion of the trip, though it’s not clear as to whether he accompanied Blair and their son either on the flight to Los Angeles or to the hospital.
