Though we were all planning to go see A Wrinkle In Time from the moment it was announced that Ava DuVernay would be directing, she keeps stacking the deck with more and more people you’ll want to pay to see on a big screen.

Storm Reid was given the lead as Meg Murry, awkward nerd and inter-planetary adventuress. The brilliant and beautiful Dr. Kate Murry, Meg’s mom, is to be played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The cast also already features Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, and now Entertainment Weekly reports that cool teen feminist Rowan Blanchard will be wrinkling time as well. She seems excited about it:

Also joining is André Holland, fresh off Moonlight, as Principal Jenkins. Mr. Murry, Dr. Murry’s missing husband, will supposedly be portrayed by Chris Pine, and Zach Galifianakis will be playing the Happy Medium. Blanchard’s role hasn’t yet been announced, but we still haven’t run out of Madeleine L’Engle’s multi-dimensional characters.

Do they have an actor cast for Charles Wallace yet? I imagine he would be the hardest to cast because his character is so young.
