Riz Ahmed is reportedly close to landing a deal with Netflix for his Hamlet adaptation and would likely play the titular role.

In collaboration with his college friend Mike Lesslie (who wrote the Michael Fassbender-starring Macbeth), Ahmed developed a modern version of the Shakespeare tragedy that deals with London’s “economic and political uncertainty,” according to Deadline. To Brexit or not to Brexit, that is the question.

It’s Shakespeare meets Game of Thrones meets Hamilton, maybe.

Last month, Ahmed became just the first male South Asian actor to win an Emmy, for his role in The Night Of. Perchance, give thy role unto Ahmed.
