NBC is bringing another wine glass to the set of Today’s Fourth Hour, because Regis Philbin is officially joining co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb as a regular contributor. The news was announced at a wine bar in Rockefeller Center, where Philbin served his old/new coworkers out of an enormous magnum bottle as Gifford screamed that he’s “the perfect person to join our motley crew.”
But, in a video posted by E! News, it’s clear that Kotb wasn’t given all of the details of Philbin’s new gig in advance of the celebration.
Gifford: “We wish we could have him every day, but he’s very busy.”
Kotb: “Regis, you can’t come every day? You can just come once a month?”
Philbin: “Once a month!”
Kotb: “We’re doing all this for once a month?”
Why aren’t you keeping Hoda in the loop, NBC?
