Best Comment Of The Day, in response to Shape Magazine Calls LeAnn Rimes Cover A “Terrible Mistake”:

That the scarlet bikini triangle at the photo’s center is an abstracted “A” was completely lost on those readers.

Best Comment Of The Day, in response to Shape Magazine Calls LeAnn Rimes Cover A “Terrible Mistake”:

I might be in the minority here, but I think husband stealing sounds exotic and fun. I imagine LeAnn Rimes belonging to an international gang of husband thieves. Julia Roberts cuts a hole in the skylight and silently descends a rope, secures the target husband and delicately replaces him in the marital bed with a bag of sand as not to set-off the sleeping wife alarm.
Marilyn Monroe is the technology expert who steals a husband by changing his various online profiles. She hacks into his Facebook page and changes Arthur Miller’s relationship status from “…is married to Mary Slattery” to “…is married to Marilyn Monroe.”
Angelina Jolie, the most famous husband thief, is the head of the organization, not unlike M at MI6. She mainly only does consulting work these days.

Best Comment Of The Day, in response to Coming Soon To MTV: I Used To Be Fat:

It was either this or the meta hit: “I Used to Play Music Videos.”

Reminder: Rather than emailing us your daily comment nominations, we’d like you to submit them in the tips box at the top of the page. So send us your nominations via that box — complete with the outstanding comment’s URL — and tag your nomination #cotd. (Replying to a comment with “#cotd” does not work.) From here on out, we’ll mine through the brilliance via the Comment of the Day tag page.

Use #trollpatrol to report comments that you feel the editors/mods should be aware of. Try not to respond to/approve/promote trollish comments in the threads — instead, just post the comment on the #trollpatrol page, the same way you’d post a comment on #groupthink or on the #cotd page, and the editors/mods will take care of it.
