Rap Rock Rumble: Insane Clown Posse's Shaggy 2 Dope Tried to Dropkick Fred Durst

Latest

Aided by Faygo and corpse paint, Shaggy 2 Dope of the Juggalo duo Insane Clown Posse attempted to dropkick Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst at the Rock Allegiance Festival in Camden, NJ on Saturday, reigniting a beef that has been ongoing for at least two-decades, Page Six reports.

The incident occurred sometime around the the end of Limp Bizkit’s infamous “Faith” cover. Shaggy 2 Dope stormed the stage and attempted to roundhouse punt(?) Durst in the head. He mostly misses, to which Durst responds, “What a pussy, couldn’t even pull it off,” while adjusting his camo print bucket hat and wiping away a single, Monster Energy Drink-scented sweat droplet. Roughly seven security guards attempt to grab Dope, which Durst sees as overkill: “It’s one guy,” he informs them. “Calm down, it’s one guy.” Durst then directs his attention to the audience, “Let’s give that guy a hand,” before the crowd bids Dope a rousing farewell.

Place it in a digital frame and hang it in the Museum of Modern Art:

And as for that 20 year battle—according to Reddit user DanyDoomzday—surely a trusted source—the pair’s disdain for one another dates back to Woodstock 1999. He writes:

“Well it all started 20 years ago when ICP was trying their hardest to sell out. They performed at Woodstock and after was told “Fred wants to meet with you” they had no idea who the fuck Fred was. I guess Fred Durst was a mega superstar and egoed out on them hard like wouldn’t look at them or anything while he talked. He invited them on the Family Values tour with Korn and all those bands then at the last minute told them to fuck off outside and booted them.”

Danny Doomz also made it a point to say “Reports from the show say that Fred Durst was being an insufferable dick,” so, helpful information there.

In the case of this dude fight, as with any, the real winner is anyone who can appreciate the hilarity.
