Rami Malek Might Never Say Hi to Your Precious Friends, But Says He's Still Down for Photos

After a video went viral on Tuesday in which a Rami Malek fan (who goes by @enemyfilm on Twitter) excitedly asks him to say hi to their friends in a video and awkwardly says “No, but we can take a picture,” Malek is getting the word out that he’s not an asshole and just loves, LOVES, to take photos with fans!

Malek told Vanity Fair that when he finally watched the video, after being told by his publicist that it was going viral, he says “I thought, ‘Oh, that’s not that bad. I don’t find myself offensive.’” Malek still seems annoyed that the fan was already recording their interaction before he was asked permission, but reiterates that he will still take photos with fans.

“I am happy to take photos with anyone,” he says. “I just want to be aware of what people are doing in the moment. When someone films you automatically, it’s a bit intrusive.”
