Predictably and annoyingly, Uchitel won’t actually discuss her relationship with Woods in the Daily Mail (there’s that rumored multimillion-dollar payoff to consider). And much of the Mail‘s background info is stuff we’ve heard before — the fiance killed in 9/11, the father dead of a cocaine overdose. But here’s some new dirt on the woman the Mail‘s Caroline Graham calls “an intelligent, middle-class girl who sincerely believed her eight-month affair with Woods was a serious relationship with a ‘soul mate’.”
Of her stint on Celebrity Rehab for this affliction, Uchitel says,
People don’t really understand love addiction, but I think a lot of women will relate to it. Instead of filling themselves with booze or drugs, love addicts become emotionally invested in a series of bad relationships. Since I lost Andy, I have always been looking for the perfect man. I wanted a man who would marry me, give me the house and children I long for. I plunged headfirst into relationships which I should never have been in.
She’s about to get her private-detective license.
I should get it next month. And, yes, that means I will be hunting down cheating husbands. It is all part of me moving on with my life and I figured I may as well do something career-wise that I have a flair for.
She’s prettier than those other girls.
Writes Graham,
She reveals she has gained a sense of humour about Tiger – when I tell her she is much prettier than most of Wood’s other women, she giggles: ‘It’s hard not to be,’ before calling Tiger’s lover Mindy Lawton ‘poor Mindy’ (referring to her looks) and adding about cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs: ‘The poor girl had a tooth missing. Honestly! She was toothless!’
She wants to be liked.
I really want people to like me. I put out this tough image but I really didn’t set out to have the life I’ve had. Women don’t like me because they see me as a threat. But I just want to be loved and that got me into trouble because I made some bad choices in men. What woman doesn’t understand that?
Maybe “poor Mindy?”
