Prince Harry apparently plans to invite a couple of his ex girlfriends to his wedding to Meghan Markle.

Richard Eden of the Daily Mail reported that Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas—remember Cressida and her Harry Potter-ass name and scrunchie? God, remember 2013?—will be invited. “Harry has stayed good friends with Chelsy and Cressida, so they will be there,” Eden quoted one of Harry’s “pals” as a source. The unnamed pal added: “He made sure there were no hard feelings when they split up. I don’t think Meghan will mind.” Naturally Eden’s report worked in the seemingly obligatory comparison to the ill-fated wedding of Harry’s parents:

The presence of Chelsy and Cressida at St George’s Chapel could stir memories of Prince Charles’s ex-girlfriend Camilla Parker Bowles at St Paul’s Cathedral when he married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.

Diana’s face visibly dropped when she spotted Camilla among the congregation.

Diana was, however, 20, when she tied the knot — Meghan will be almost 37 and is far more self-assured.

There’s an understatement.

Eden also reported that Meghan’s ex, producer Trevor Engelson, will not be invited. If you recall, back in September, he was working on a TV show about a man whose ex marries into the royal family, complicating their custody arrangements considerably. Can’t imagine why they left him off the list!

I’m curious: who here had exes at their wedding? Bc I don’t really think it’s a big deal if things are truly over and y’all are really friends. Despite what tv and media would have us believe, there are cases where this happens- we tried it, it didn’t work, but hey, we work as friends. I mean, yeah, there are plenty of cases where things end badly, but is the opposite really all that rare in real life?
