Pope Francis Called the Wage Gap a 'Scandal,' Is a Hero

Latest

Cool Pope Francis is really upset about the wage gap. Same.

On Wednesday during his weekly general audience at the Vatican, according to the Washington Post, everyone’s favorite God-go-between declared Christians should “become more demanding” for “radical equality” like “supporting the right of equal pay for equal work.”

Yaassss.

“Why should it be taken for granted that women must earn less than men? The disparity is pure scandal,” Francis said, according to the Italian news service ANSA.
“The witness of the social dignity of marriage shall become persuasive, precisely by this way: the way of witness that attracts,” he added.

He also beat back assertions that the women’s rights movement was the reason for declining marriage rates, calling the suggestion “a form of chauvinism that always wants to control the woman.”

Pope for President.
