After many protested the Theatre Development Fund's refusal to award any female playwright this years' $25,000 Wendy Wasserstein Prize, the group has announced it's changing the selection process. The 19 nominees will probably be asked to submit more plays.
Oh, gee, thanks for reconsidering guys. Maybe you'll manage to find one struggling female playwright who might deserve your prize. Thanks for the awkward pity.
Not that I think whomever wins shouldn't accept. She should take that money and go write some kick-ass plays.
