Planned Parenthood Votes Will Spend a Lot of Money to Make Sure Coloradans Know That Mittens Does Not Care for Planned Parenthood

Latest

After the Empire Strikes Back of presidential debates last week made everyone (at least everyone on MSNBC) wonder whether or not the Democrats could thaw Barack Obama out of carbonite and prolong this extended metaphor long enough for everyone to discover that the insidious emperor is none other than the reanimated corpse of Ronald Reagan, Planned Parenthood Votes is fighting the good fight against Mitt Romney’s elephant seal flip-flopping by rolling out a robust series of TV ads in a little swing state called Colorado. The nonprofit agency has purchased $800,000 worth of television air time in The Centennial State, and will use every minute to call Mitt Romney a stupid face, or something along those lines.

Since it’s a well-trod fact that Mittens has, over the course of his fish-on-a-dock candidacy, said that he’d like to see Roe v. Wade overturned, and that he’d also like to “get rid of” Planned Parenthood, Planned Parenthood Votes will soon be running a Denver-area ad called “Mitt Romney would turn the clock back.” The Colorado ad is similar, notes the Wall Street Journal, to another Planned Parenthood ad already playing in Virginia, and brings spending of the organization’s political advocacy arm to a grand total of over $6 million, a pretty big splash considering that this is only the second presidential campaign in which the organization has been heavily involved.
